Overview
Atena is a passionate and experienced Course Developer at Joy of Persian, with a Ph.D. in Persian Language and Literature from The Alzahra University. She brings 14 years of teaching experience from various institutions, including online teaching on italki since April 2022, where she instructs students in Farsi language and literature. Dr. Karimi has also taught at Payam-e Noor University, Alzahra University, and the University of Qom, designing and teaching a range of courses from introductory Persian literature to advanced composition and creative writing.
In addition to her teaching roles, Dr. Karimi has contributed significantly to Persian literature scholarship through her peer-reviewed articles. Beyond course development, Dr. Karimi’s enthusiasm for learning extends to her personal interests, where she enjoys reading personal development books, listening to podcasts, and exploring music.
