Many of you know Dr. Leila through live lessons, and we’re thrilled you use our self-paced courses to deepen your learning. We love being part of your journey!

This has been our commitment to you for years. Some of our core courses have been freely available to our students since we first published them back in Esfand 1401 (early 2023). What you may not see is the reality behind the scenes: Joy of Persian is a two-person team. While Dr. Leila develops the academic content and teaches, my role (Abolfazl) is to bring it all to life:

• As the instructional designer and technical manager, I handle the detailed content work—like converting lessons into interactive practices, creating mini-dictionaries with English equivalents, and meticulously syncing audio to text.
• On top of that, I build and maintain our entire online platform: managing the WordPress site, writing custom codes (CSS, JavaScript, and PHP), and administering our learning management system.
• I also direct all of our community engagement, which involves creating and sharing content across our blogs (in English and Persian), Instagram, and YouTube to connect with learners worldwide.
• In short, it’s a full-time job with no pay.

The income from live lessons helps, but platform rules don’t account for the hundreds of hours we’ve already invested in creating and maintaining these high-quality courses that you use for free.
