The target audience for this course is those who have completed the introductory Persian language course and wish to enhance their reading and comprehension skills while expanding their vocabulary. To facilitate learning, the course is divided into different sections. In each section, the text is read aloud, and synonyms of difficult words along with their English translations are provided. Additionally, at the end of each section, comprehension exercises are included so that learners can assess their progress.

Saadi is one of the most renowned Persian poets who has had a profound impact on the culture and lives of Persian speakers from the past to the present. His stories, as well as the proverbs derived from his works, are considered an essential part of Iran’s cultural heritage.

In this course, you will become acquainted with Saadi in a simple and narrative manner. You will first read about his life, followed by an introduction to his two major works, Golestan and Bustan. To familiarize yourself with these books, you will read a few well-known stories from them. Through these stories, you will gain insight into Saadi’s thoughts and some of his beliefs. Finally, you will learn about the greatness of Saadi and his significance both in Iran and worldwide.

We hope that this course, in addition to strengthening your language skills, will inspire you to explore Saadi’s works and his beautiful poetry, allowing you to enjoy the rich treasure of Persian literature.
